Who are you?
Aaron Ashwood.

Give us a brief creative background. How did you came into working with collage?
I originally started collaging back in year 12 as apart of my arts course. I'm now currently studying my 3rd year of fine arts at RMIT university and have managed to keep it up, but am now exploring collage through a variety of mediums.

Why collage?
I enjoy the speed at which things can be made.

Describe your practice/ workspace (ie: messy, sorted cut outs, rituals, methods of working etc)
I tend to not think about things until there's something in front of me to think about. I believe play is very important in my practice, which usually makes for a messy studio space.

How has your practice evolved?
Throughout my time at Uni I've become more and more interested in assembling three dimensional objects. Where as before I tend to stick to two dimensional paper collages. Although recycling old and found material has always been a part of my practice.

Where to next?
Who knows!
